Kid on a Red Chopper Bike is an account of the late sixties and seventies via the naive, exciting and mischievious world and experiences of the author.
Guaranteed to resonate with those of a certain age, including the punk and mod revival generation, it is a story of wide-eyed wonder, humour, pop culture, mischief, fun and youthful abandon - a world where little fear was known. Of red-hot summers, Glam Rock, piss-taking mayhem and changes that collides into the punk explosion of 1977 and a growing obsession with The Jam amidst a climax of tragic loss and coming of age.
Published in May 2011 and wrote in 2008 in parallel to the 'Our Generation' book (Now out-of-print), Kid on a Red Chopper Bike now reads almost like a mythical tale of an age gone by and never to be repeated.
